"during my 3-year apprenticeship in the theatre I was extremely fortunate in being able to work with Ladislaus Zaban - a sculptor in the classical sense. It was from him that I learnt the craft of sculpting, from a quick sketch to a detailed plan leading on to carving in hard foam, polystyrene and wood. After the graduation exam in Berlin I was awarded the distinction of best student of 1996. My freelance status allows me to continue utilising and developing these skills. What distinguishes my work is my highly developed understanding of anatomy and a passion for detail which varies between humour and insanity. I work independently, quickly and have a good sense of responsibility. I aim to support and promote a good team spirit because, in my opinion, this is the basis for good work.
